Reference range data base is essential to evaluate the results of animal experiments and to raise to confidence. Therefore, we studied on the basic data of Ktc : Wistar rats with age.
Body weight was increased gradually with weep in both sexes. Absolute organ weight was also increased with week except hypophysis and thymus, but relative organ weight was decreased with age except gonadal organ(testis and ovary) and adrenalin (female, left).
In hematology, blood biochemistry and WBC differencial count, there were slight differences compared with the data of foreign facilities (Crj : Wistar, Slc : Wistar, Jcl : Wistar), but the values were included in normal ranges.
In urinalysis, bilirubin was trend to be negative, urobillnogen was decreased with age in both sexes.
